1. Be a storyteller. Share your story with us in the medium of your choice, a written statement, 250 words or less, a videotaped story, (2-3 minutes in length) or tell your story to another person. (Writing assistance is available, contact The Humanitarium for more information.)
2. Your Lexington Story should answer the following:

Are both you and your “hero” living Lexingtonians?

How do you know your “hero”?
What impact has she/he had on you and/or your community?-
What lessons can be learned from your “hero”?

Why do you consider her or him an “unsung” hero?
3. Please tell us about your hero on our online nomination form by: November 1, 2005. If choosing to use video, deadline to schedule a taping is October 1, 2005 (limited space available). You may also download a downloadable nomination form and mail it to the address below.

The 12 Lexingtonians chosen will be honored with Blythe Jamison photographs to be shown in both a gallery exhibit, as well as, several traveling community and school displays. The chosen profiles will be exhibited alongside the portraits. We welcome nominations from all of Lexington’s citizens coming from our diverse communities.
Finalists will be notified by mail. Final submissions will be edited for length, grammar, and/or content. All submissions become the property of The Humanitarium.
